• Description:

  A cream coloured powder consisting of a mixture of essential and non essential amino acids, corn syrup solids, vegetable oil, minerals, trace elements and vitamins. Contains no colouring or flavouring. • Milk protein free • Lactose free

• Indications & Prescribability:

  Neocate One+ is a chemically defined diet based on synthetic amino acids, it is therefore suitable for patients that cannot tolerate protein hydrolysates.  Neocate One+ has been formulated to provide complete nutritional support for children with food allergies, sensitivity to intact protein, intractable malabsorption or following intestinal resection.

• Suggested Intake:

  The quantity of feed and the dilution should be determined by a clinician or dietitian only and is dependent on the age, bodyweight and medical condition of the patient.

  The recommended dilution is 1 in 4 weight to volume ie. 100g powder (1 sachet) added to 340ml water yielding a final volume of 400ml.  This dilution provides 1cal / ml.

  Neocate One+ may be given in a more dilute concentration if indicated, eg. 100g powder (1 sachet) added to 680ml of water to yield a final volume of 750ml.

  Osmolality :  610 mosm / kg* at 25g of product made up to 100ml with water.

  Estimated renal solute load : 143 mosm / litre*.
  

• Preparation & Administration:

  Measure 340ml of cold water into a container and add 1 sachet of Neocate One+ to the water.  Cover and shake the product until the powder has dissolved.  Alternatively this product may be blenderized for up to 10 seconds.  Shake or stir the product immediately before use.

  Neocate One+ can be served unflavoured or flavoured using SHS flavours.  Best served chilled.

• Precautions:

  Must only be used under strict medical supervision.  Not for parenteral use.  Not suitable for children under one year of age.

• Storage:

  This product should be stored in a cool, dry place, in a sealed container.  Once reconstituted the feed should be stored in a refrigerator and consumed within 24 hours.
