• Description:

  A white powder containing cholesterol and carbohydrate.

• Indications & Prescribability:

  For medical conditions requiring a source of exogenous cholesterol eg. Smith-Lemli Opitz Syndrome.

• Suggested Intake:

  The recommended dosage of Cholesterol Module is dependent on the age, bodyweight and medical condition of the patient.  It should be determined by a doctor or a dietitian and should be based on serum levels of cholesterol and its metabolites.

• Preparation & Administration:

  Dissolve the correct amount to form a paste and add to a drink or meal.  1 scoop contains 5.9g Cholesterol Module

  Osmolality 1:10 dilution = 180 mosm/kg (i.e. 10g product plus 100mls water).

• Precautions:

  Must only be used under strict medical supervision.  Not intended for use as the sole source of nutrition.  Not for parenteral use.

  • Free From statement indicates that the highlighted food constituent is not added to the product as an ingredient.

• Storage:

  Unopened shelf-life as per tin.  Once opened use within four weeks.  Prepared feed can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours
