SHS were one of the main sponsors for the 2nd Metabolic Dietitian’s study day at the Nick Nairn’s Cook school at the Lake of Montieth set in the beautiful Stirlingshire countryside.
The event was organised by Barbara Cochrane from NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde.
The event was a practical cookery day designed to improve the knowledge and skills for dietitians who manage patients with an Inborn Error of Metabolism (PKU, MSUD, Tyrosinaemia, etc) on a Low Protein Diet.
A big thanks goes to John Webber, the Chef from Nick Nairn’s Cook school and Mona Taylor the food technologist who designed a series of recipes suitable for the day.
The event was filmed, so everyone interested in Low Protein recipes can share in the experience. These will be published on this site in the coming weeks.
